Course
Curricula and Study Material
The
syllabi of various Distance Education programmes are considered
by the respective Board of Studies and the Faculty. The recommendations
of the Board of Studies and the Faculty are finally approved by
the Academic Council of the University. The syllabi are updated
as per need of the market and necessary changes are brought about
in the course curriculum.
In order to have the interest of the students closely watched,
the Directorate appoints course-coordinators from the respective
parent teaching department of the University for each programme.
The course coordinators are responsible to solve the problems
of the students and to organize the personal contract programmes
in respect of directly enrolled students. The guidelines in respect
of various courses are also updated with the assistance of the
course-coordinators.
The study material is got prepared by the Directorate with the
association of specialists in the respective fields and the same
is updated as and when the changes are brought about in the course-curriculum.
The study material is also provided in the shape of books purchased
from the market of the eminent authors. The book are provided
in addition to the study material and in cases where updated information
is needed such as taxation related papers. Also, the study centres
are required to have five copies per title of the books recommended
for the various courses.
